Location: Soul Society (6th Division Headquarters)
Time: November 15th, 8pm
Kira from the 3rd division made a trek over today and helped me with paperwork pertaining to training sessions. I can't help but doubt his leadership skills somewhat, as he seemed very preoccupied with staring at my face rather than focused on the task at hand. Then again, perhaps that's why Yama-jii has called for training sessions between our two groups. He could definitely use some discipline training.
Perhaps I am too harsh. He is only a vice-captain, after all. I have a sneaking suspicion he was hoping to train with me, however. Fortunately I didn't have to squash that desire. Hopefully I won't have to in the future. I don't think he'll be ready any time soon.
I ponder more strongly why Yama-jii wants us to learn "ambush response" since it seems that a disciplined squad would have no problem dealing with an ambush. Perhaps this is really more for the third squad's benefit. It's not like their last attempt at a leader exhibited much in the way of "discipline," anyway. Then again, neither did Tousen, in the end...
I wonder how the ryoka and the others are faring with their attempts at training. Perhaps it would be worth our time to approach them with the possibility of an alliance? Yama-jii will hear nothing of the sort.
